Before & Aftercare for your new Cosmetic Tattoo.

Cosmetic Tattooing cannot be carried out if you have any of the following contraindications;

You are under 18

You have diabetes

You are currently Pregnant or Breastfeeding

You are currently taking blood thinning medicines (e.g. aspirin, warfarin). Please consult a GP before discontinuing any medication.

You have transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis

You have haemophilia

You have healing disorders or uncontrolled high blood pressure

You are taking any skin medication such as Accutane or Steroids

You have active skin cancer

You are undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy

You have Epilepsy

You have a pacemaker or major heart problems


Before your Cosmetic Tattoo appointment

A Patch test MUST be carried out at least 48hrs before the date of your treatment – NO EXCEPTIONS. This can be done without an appointment, any time during our opening hours.

Do not take any medications with blood thinning properties for 7 days prior to your treatment. Including Aspirin, Warfarin, Niacin, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Fish Oils, Ibuprofen, etc. Consult GP before discontinuing any medication.  This will cause excess bleeding during the procedure, which in turn will hinder the healing & pigment retention process.

Do not drink alcohol 24-48 hours before your appointment.

Do not drink caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment. Including Tea, Coffee & Energy Drinks.

Do not use sunbeds for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your treatment.

No Chemical peels, Dermabrasion, Microneedling, Botox, Dermal Filler. Or any other Aesthetic treatments for 3-4 weeks prior to your treatment.

Discontinue Retinol or any other high content skin thinning products one month prior to the date of your treatment. This includes Environ, Zo, Obagi, The Ordinary, etc.

Do not work out/exercise, gym or sweat on the day of your treatment.

For Lip Blush tattoo only – regardless of whether you suffer from cold sores or not I strongly advise all clients to purchase this anti-viral medication.

Start the tablets two days before your appointment & continue until the course is finished. The tablets will reduce your healing time down from up to 14 days to 5-6 days.


After your Powder Brow Cosmetic Tattoo

Gently blot area with a dry/clean tissue twice an hour for the first 6 hrs post treatment.

As of the first evening of your treatment; Wash your brows with cooled boiled water & the cleanser provided, with a light touch & clean hands. Continue to do this morning & evening every day for 10 days.

After washing the brows; Using a clean cotton bud for each brow, apply the aftercare balm (a grain of rice sized amount per brow). Continue to do this morning & evening every day for 10 days.

No sunbeds or direct sunlight for 4 weeks.

Do not apply any makeup or cosmetics to the area until skin has fully healed; normally 2-3 weeks.

Do not work-out or sweat for 7 days post treatment.

Do not touch pick or pull at the treated area.

No swimming or saunas, etc for 2 weeks post treatment.


After your Cosmetic Lip Tattoo

Immediately after the treatment begin applying the aftercare balm – DO NOT allow lips to become dry.

Continue to take your anti-viral medication.

No sunbeds or direct sunlight for 4 weeks.

Do not apply makeup to the area until you feel like skin has fully healed.

Do not work-out or sweat for 7 days after the treatment.

Do not touch or pick at the treated area.

Avoid oily, salty, acidic foods & alcohol while healing. It is recommended to drink using a straw until your lips have healed.

Do not use any Glycolic, Hydroxy or fruit acid products on lips.

No swimming or saunas until skin has healed.
